What to expect on a wildlife holiday in India

When to go.
For the best wildlife viewing experience, plan your Indian safari between October and March after monsoon season, which offers a dry and comfortable temperature. The climate varies considerably depending on which regions of India you are traveling to, with cooler conditions in the northern parks like Ranthambore and Corbett, and warmer, more humid weather in southern reserves such as Periyar and Nagarhole.
Hanuman Langur in Pench National Park
What to pack.
Expect warm days, with cooler mornings and evenings, especially during safaris. It’s always a good idea to pack lightweight clothing and warmer garments alongside comfortable walking shoes and sandals.

Where you’ll stay.
You’ll stay in a combination of hotels, heritage properties, eco-lodges, camps and homestays. All accommodation is carefully selected for comfort, location and sustainability.
