Are single cabins available?
Single cabins are easiest available on the Egypt cruise. There are very limited cabins up for single occupancy on the Greek boat tour as well.
What is the max group booking size per tour? We don’t want to be a couple travelling with a group of 8 friends.
Explore tours are maximum 16 travellers but our average group size is 11. We usually have a good split of solo travellers and couples on our trips, and you can ask our sales team for the demographic of people booked on specific departures. We can't give out too many details for data protection reasons, but we can give you a rough idea of the ages and genders.
What is the best time of year for the Greek sailing tour?
We have departures from June - September on our Greek Cruise (GC).
Can you do a back-to-back cruise in Greece and spend the first week doing the walks and the next week relaxing?
There are two dates that link from the walking trip to the more relaxed trip giving you two weeks on board. One in June and one in September.
Do you have any plans to a longer version of the Maldives Dhoni Cruise?
It is something we have considered a few times but are currently not working on. We do however offer a range of land-based tours in India and Sri Lanka that are combinable with this tour.
For the Maldives, do women have to wear a scarf on land if NOT in a Mosque?
No, they are not necessary while walking around the islands. Just when entering a mosque or other religious spaces.
Can you fly direct to the Maldives, or do you have to go via Sri Lanka?
It depends where you're flying from! But you can fly direct from London. I'd suggest asking our friendly sales team to give you the best options for you.
Can one drink the tap water in Egypt? Is it safe to eat fresh salads (uncooked veggies/fruits)?
Tap water isn’t drinking water in Egypt so we'd recommend getting a filter bottle such as a water-to-go to ensure you can drink tap water safely and at the same time avoid having to use lots of single use bottles. For salads and fruits etc., our leaders make sure they take you to places that wash items in drinking water to ensure you stay safe.
If a medical emergency happens, where must the affected person(s) go for care? Will our American insurance cover cost?
Our tour leaders are trained in looking after the groups in all sorts of situations so if you need medical support, they will ensure you are taken to the nearest facilities. It's important to have good insurance cover so check your policy and make sure you understand what is in place - cover to travel home and a good level of medical expenses is a must to ensure peace of mind whilst you are travelling.
